Accounting
"Accounting provides a basis for learners to study further at tertiary institutions. It also equips them to be meaningfully employed in the economy."

Developing the students’ ability to make meaningful and informed financial decisions
Accounting is an important subject because it develops the learners’ knowledge, skills, attitudes and values, as well as their ability to make meaningful and informed financial decisions. Learners develop qualities such as ethical behaviour, sound judgment, thoroughness, accuracy, orderliness, and neatness.
Accounting is offered as an elective subject to the learners in Grades 10 – 12.
Accounting focuses on the recording, processing, communicating and interpreting of financial data.
