Life Orientation
"Life Orientation incorporates both Physical Education and Life Skills"

Recreation and physical well-being
Life Orientation equips the learners for a meaningful life in our ever-changing environment. Through the four learning outcomes: personal well-being; citizenship education; career choices; and recreation and physical well-being, the learners develop positive attitudes and values, and will make a worthwhile contribution to our South African society. These outcomes are taught by the Life Skills and Physical Education staff.
Physical Education
Physical Education aims to assist the girls to make informed decisions on their own health and lifestyle.
During lessons girls participate in a variety of sporting codes and are taught the value of physical activity and a healthy lifestyle as well as how to play several sports. These lessons provide a safe, non-competitive environment in which all the girls can experiment with different sports and find one they enjoy.
Life Skills
During Life Skills lessons, learners are encouraged to explore various aspects of their emotional development. Topics include issues such as friendship and how to deal with bullying. Specific topics, relating to their future careers are discussed, and in the senior grades the learners attend numerous talks on current career opportunities.
Citizenship education is also a topic included in life skills and encourages learners to become productive citizens who respect and value others and the environment.
