If music be the food of life...

Music is a specialisation option in the Grade 8 and Grade 9, Arts and Culture learning area. Learners can commence with instrument tuition in Grade 8. Music is an examination subject in Grades 10, 11 and 12. Interested learners can also work towards the ABRSM practical and theoretical examinations.

The Grade 10-12 syllabus content covers:

Practical component: tuition is offered in the following instruments: piano, trumpet, flute, clarinet, saxophone and trombone
Theoretical skills
Music technology
Ensemble playing
Research and Critical Reflection

Learners are given opportunities for public performance: concerts, Eisteddfod and productions
